IRIS/HIPSO WORK STREAM
Objective of the stream
More than 80 DFIs, asset managers and asset owners have already adopted the Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM) since they were launched at the World Bank Group/ International Monetary Fund Spring Meetings in 2019. The signatories’ group is developing into a community of practice engaged in developing and sharing emerging best practices in impact management and implementing the Principles. Signatories have expressed interest in convergence on common approaches to impact measurement and reporting in a series of workshops and other interactions since the launch.
This main objective of this stream is to ensure the convergence in metrics and their definitions between IRIS and HIPSO. IRIS and HIPSO will be leveraged by impact investors as the bedrock of metrics in the implementation of OPIM.
The Work Stream (WS) was formally established after the 2019 Annual Meeting in Madrid and is chaired by Alan Lukoma of IFC.
