ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL WORK STREAM
Objective of the stream
The Work Stream (WS) was formally established after the 2019 Annual Meeting in Madrid and is co-chaired by Elizabeth White of IFC, and Eva Mayerhofer of EIB.
The strategic aim of the Environment and Social WS is to ensure that HIPSO has an updated and good scope of environment to include climate and resource efficiency; and social metrics that are fit for purpose in the development impact landscape. In addition, the Stream aims to collect, share and elaborate knowledge about climate, resource efficiency and social issues, and to develop products for DFIs and other private sector development practitioners.
Activities
- Draft and update the HIPSO financial environment and social metrics as needed.
- Coordinate with other initiatives around these thematic areas to promote harmonization approaches
around metrics and other topical issues. - Generate and share knowledge on topical issues around environmental and social issues in private
sector development.
