FINANCIAL INTERMEDIATION WORK STREAM
Objective of the stream
The Work Stream (WS) was formally established after the 2019 Annual Meeting in Madrid and is chaired by Georg Weiers of EIB.
The strategic aim of the Financial Intermediation WS is to ensure that HIPSO has an updated and good scope of financial intermediation related metrics that are fit for purpose in the development impact landscape. In addition, the Stream aims to collect, share and elaborate knowledge about financial intermediation related issues, and to develop products for DFIs and other private sector development practitioners.
Activities
- Draft and update the HIPSO financial intermediation metrics as needed.
- Coordinate with other initiatives around financial intermediation to promote the harmonization of
approaches around metrics and other topical issues. - Generate and share knowledge on topical issues around financial intermediation in private sector
development.
