GENDER WORK STREAM

Objective of the stream

The Work Stream (WS) was formally established after the 2019 Annual Meeting in Madrid and is chaired by Lori Leonard of DFC.

The strategic aim of the Gender WS is to ensure that HIPSO has an updated and good scope of gender related metrics that are fit for purpose in the development impact landscape. In addition, the Stream aims to collect, share and elaborate knowledge about gender related issues, and to develop products for DFIs and other private sector development practitioners.

Activities

  • Draft and update the HIPSO gender metrics as needed.
  • Coordinate with other initiatives around gender for example the 2X Challenge to promote
    harmonization approaches around metrics and other topical issues.
  • Generate and share knowledge on topical issues around gender, in private sector development.
